Artificial Intelligence and Workplace Behaviours

As AI becomes a norm within the industry, we are also seeing its implications on humankind. While as a technology it’s a very important leap in evolution, what is equally important is a consideration of human centeredness while designing experiences with AI. This session will primarily talk about some guidelines that have helped shape better AI experiences. While also extending the same knowledge to particularly to the domain of workplace behaviours. We spend 1/3rd of our lives working. Those behaviours at work not only influence business outcomes but also company culture over time. How might we then use the power of AI to empower employees and organizations equally?

Weaving Interactivity Into Everyday Objects and Experiences

I established Weave Lab to work as a generalist researcher in the diverse and exciting field of HCI research. Our mission is to weave interactivity into everyday objects and experiences, an intentionally broad approach that encompasses technology-first fresh explorations as well as need-driven applications for societal problems. Through this mission, we wish to inspire and enable others who are just getting started. Though we are early on our journey, through a whirlwind tour 20+ projects my group has worked on in the past three years, I will share insights we gathered along the way. I will present an initial framework for this eclectic approach to HCI research and its implications on the research we do.

UX’s Changing landscape in Pandemic

Till few weeks ago, I was experiencing every aspect of UX practitioner through project meetings , brainstorming , scrum stand ups and tea talks with my team. Without much of anticipation, COVID 19 changed the situation to “locked down”. As the world will deviate from the way it was functioning before, how do we adapt to the unprecedented times and create a new normal.
